With its significant levels of Vitamin C, magnesium and other minerals, ginger root, also known as Zingiber officinale, is extremely beneficial for health. I am a big ginger tea addict. I love drinking Ginger tea specially in the early morning before I start my day and then sometimes during the evening as well whenever I feel tired. After making ginger tea, you can always add different flavors to it like peppermint, honey, lemon or cinnamon to have it taste good. I personally like ginger tea with some honey, fennel seeds, basil and some milk added to it.  Ginger tea has so many health benefits and here is why you should make this soothing beverage an integral part of your lifestyle:

This one is for all women suffering from menstrual cramps. Try soaking a towel in warm ginger tea and apply it to your lower abdomen. It may help relieve the pain and relax the muscles. At the same time, drink a cup of ginger tea with honey.

Relieve stress

Ginger tea has calming properties that may help lower your stress and tension. This is thought to be due to a combination of strong aroma and healing properties.
