It happens to all of us. You’ve prepared for the big day but when the big moment arrives, nothing seems to work. It’s not fun to think about, but now there’s good news: This doesn’t’t have to happen.

Dr. Sian Beilock, an expert on performance and brain science, reveals new discoveries of why people so often “choke” under pressure when the stakes are very high.

What happens to the brain and body which produces dreaded performance anxiety? And what is the process that occurs when the perfect performance or  tricky test problem becomes easy? In this energetic presentation Dr. Beilock will describe the latest research, explaining the secrets and practical advice that minimize the potential for “choking”.Whether the goal is to raise a test score, or lower a golf score, Dr. Beilock will provide the techniques and strategies that can short circuit anxiety — allowing for successful outcomes in all high pressure situations.
