Why Raw Food?
Raw food, generally defined as food not heated above 110-120 degrees, is believed to preserve many of the vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants and phytonutrients essential for the growth, repair, and maintenance of our bodies. Raw foodists propose that a diet high in raw foods has an alkalizing effect on our bodies that, along with the retained nutrients, can prevent and treat many diseases as well as slow down the signs of aging, create a toned glow to the skin and eyes, improve energy levels and mental clarity, erase musculo-skeletal aches and pains, even out emotional imbalances and weight fluctuations, and improve the quality of sleep. Join us as Prairie Food supporter Ginger Rubinstein teaches about this way of eating for optimum health.
